Step-by-step Guide: Converting a Web Link to a Presentation with SlidesPilot

Step 1 – Copy a Link from a Web Page

Navigate to the content you want to convert. This could be a news article, a blog post, a Wikipedia entry, or a video on a platform like YouTube. Copy the page's URL from your browser's address bar.

Step 2 – Log into SlidesPilot

Logging into SlidesPilot is simple. Choose either your Google Account or Apple Account for one-click login (new users will be automatically signed up). This helps you save your work. Alternatively, you can use an email address—we'll send you a verification code that you can enter on our login page to access your account.

Step 3 – Access the AI Presentation Converter

Once you are logged in, you will be in your Workspace. On the left is a sidebar where you can navigate. Both your "Home" page and the "Presentations" section offer options to use the Convert to PPT function at the top of the page. Now click on the "Convert to PPT" button to open the converter.

Step 4 – Choose a Conversion Method

Inside the AI Presentation Converter, you'll see three options: "Upload Document," "From Link," and "Paste in Text." Select the second option, "From Link", to paste your URL.

Step 5 – Paste Your Link

After you select the “From Link" option, a URL input field will appear. Paste the link you want to convert.

In the top-right corner, you’ll see the Output language setting. By default, SlidesPilot converts your link's content into an English presentation. This feature is powerful: our AI can understand content in multiple languages and generate slides in English—or translate English content into other languages.

When you're ready, click "Convert with AI" to process.

Step 6 – Pick a Theme

After your document is uploaded and presentation settings are configured, you can choose a theme for your presentation. SlidesPilot has built numerous beautifully designed themes for you to choose from—ranging from minimal and modern to bold and high-contrast—to fit your needs in both corporate and educational settings.

Our themes provide coordinated layouts, typography, and color palettes for your presentation. They're switchable at any time, meaning you can easily change your presentation's appearance even after it's generated.

After picking a theme, click "Continue" to proceed. Our AI will start working for you at this point, and your presentation should be ready within 1-2 minutes.

Step 7 - Result: Presentation Generated

You now have a well-structured, beautifully designed presentation that accurately reflects the original content. You can navigate, edit, download, or share your presentation using the options available.
